(Newswire.net — June 17, 2013) Richmond, KY — Eye Care Center Optometrtist, PSC, located in the Central Kentucky region, is pleased to announce that two of their optometrists received special recognition at the 2013 Spring Conference of the Kentucky Optometric Association (KOA).
Among those recognized was Dr. Matt Burchett; he was appointed the President of the Kentukcy Optometric Association, where he will spearhead the KOA’s objectives of promoting the practice of optometry for the benefit of the citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Dr. Burchett has been practicing optometry in Kentucky for over 10 years and was one of the first optometrists in Kentucky to receive board certification from the American Board of Optometry. He commented that: “I entered the field of optometry dedicated with the mission of promoting proper eye health of Kentucky’s eyes; this appointment to the Board of Directors is an extension of that mission.”
Dr. Lauren Lodholz, also of Eye Care Center Optometrist, PSC was recognized at the Spring KOA conference as well. Dr. Lodholz, who has been practicing since 2009, was presented with the exciting 2013 Kentucky Young Optometrist of the Year award. “I have been working hard at steady improvement by listening to my patients, and providing exactly what they want and need,” reported Dr. Lodholz.
The Eye Care Center has eight locations across Central Kentucky, including locations in Richmond, Lexington, Georgetown, Berea, Beattyville, Irvine, and Mckee.
