FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Newswire.net—June 27, 2013) Tampa, FL—AVA will be featuring as its name implies, “Inspired Italian” cuisine, as described by one of its founding owners, Michael Stewart, also owner of 717 South.  Anyone who has dined and frequented 717 South will understand the “inspired” nomenclature associated with this description.  Every aspect of this concept has been carefully thought out and receives its inspiration from a handful of passionate people.

Stewart has spared no expense in seeking out and hiring Smith Hanes, the nation’s top designer from Atlanta, GA, who designed The Optimist (voted #1 restaurant in America by Esquire Magazine). Haynes has an impeccable reputation for his style and influence seen in the interiors of some of Atlanta’s top eating establishments. His vision for design is largely derived from natural materials, interesting accessories, and unique and specific color palettes.

Stewart has also partnered with longtime friend and manager of the Tampa Bay Rays, Joe Maddon.  the son of an Italian father with the name Maddonini (shortened to Maddon). Maddon  has always maintained his affinity for cooking by featuring a once a year event at 717 South, his display of kitchen talents.  Maddon also has a passion and high knowledge of wines.  A fixture at 717 South, Maddon and Stewart have forged an alliance and friendship that was the mother creation for the AVA.

AVA will be located in the Post SoHo Square, on the corner of South Howard and Swann Avenues.  This area is a “mixed-use residential community” which enjoys both residential and commercial purposes by its residents.  This development is approximately $40 million that will be comprised of 231 one and two bedroom units, 10,000 square feet of retail space, and a parking garage to accommodate both residents and customers at this bustling location.  Construction is anticipated to be completed by the second quarter of 2014.

Stewart is excited about this new project as his 717 South already is home to the culinary delight for many of Tampa’s diners. 717’s comprehensive wine list with its menu choices that is as much art as it is fine dining, only makes this anticipation for AVA with its Italian influence that much more exciting.   For more information regarding 717 South and the soon to be, AVA, contact  717 South at  (813) 250-1661  717 S.
