(Newswire.net — July 5, 2013) Los Angeles, CA — “There was a significant dose-response effect of the weight loss help green coffee extract, and no apparent gastrointestinal side effects,” the Ph.D. from the University of Scranton, Joe Vinson said. “All doses of green coffee extract produced a significant reduction in blood sugar relative to the original blank glucose challenge. The maximum blood glucose occurred at 30 minutes and was 24% lower than the original with the 400 mg of green coffee extract, and the blood glucose at 120 minutes was 31% lower.”

There have been numerous studies done on the green coffee bean extract, with the majority of them focusing on the weight loss help that the extract provides.  The ability to burn fat, suppress appetite, and help people with weight loss, is due to the Chlorogenic acids that are present in such high amounts in the green coffee beans.  Chlorogenic acids in much smaller amounts are present in other foods that include cherries, apples, fresh plums and dried plums, along with trace amounts being present in some other fruits and vegetables.  The large concentration of Chlorogenic acids in the green coffee beans are what provides it with its ability to provide weight loss help plus lower glucose levels.

Unfortunately all the coffee tha people consume now does not provide these benefits, because roasting the coffee bean at high temperatures breaks down most of the Chlorogenic acids.  Almost all the coffee that people drink comes from roasted coffee beans.

Joe Vinson, a Ph.D. from the University of Scranton conducted a weight loss help study using the green coffee bean extract, and discovered that in a 22 week period obese and overweight people that used the green coffee bean weight loss pill decreased their body weight by 10%.  Combining these results with the results from the new study on how the green coffee bean effects blood glucose levels, people that suffer from these issues may have finally found some relief.

The new study had the goal to document the effects of different doses of the weight loss help green coffee extract on the blood sugar levels of 56 women and men that currently had normal blood sugar levels. The test subjects received a glucose tolerance test to see how their bodies responded to the sugar. Then over a period of time, they took 100, 200, 300 or 400 milligrams (mg) of the extract in a capsule with water. Follow-up glucose tolerance tests showed how the green coffee extract affected their responses by lowering their blood glucose levels.
