Many odors, particularly those from sweat in clothes and gym bags, are caused by bacteria. Washing clothes makes them smell better, as it kills the odor-causing bacteria in the fabric. Silver Edge Gear has developed a process to permanently coat nylon fibers with silver, which has natural antibacterial qualities. This gives clothing and gym bags the ability to stop bacteria on contact.
Since the silver is permanently bonded to the fabric, it doesn’t wash off or wear out with use. This means it controls odors for the life of the product. Independent testing by The Manufacturing Solutions Center, an accredited testing laboratory, confirmed that after 25 washes all of Silver Edge Gear’s products retained 99.96 percent of their antibacterial strength.
