(Newswire.net — October 2, 2013) Chicago, Illinois —  As a leader in the United Kingdom in live music venues, an award for AMG services was expected at the 2013 Best Bar None Awards, and the award came as a Best Entertainment Venue recognition for the Academy Bournemouth, according to information published recently on the AMG website.

AMG operates twenty six venues in the United Kingdom, including popular live music locations in Birmingham, Newcastle, Sheffield and Leeds. AMG also owns the renowned Brixton Academy in London. Artist at these venues regularly play to capacity crowds of thousands of fans. The Bournemouth venue hosts world-famous acts such as Tenacious D, Jimmy Eat World and Del Amitri.

The Academy Bournemouth boasts an interior to match it’s history as a nineteenth century theater house, where it staged circus acts and a dance club. The venue is decorated with art-deco styling and ornate features that remind concert goers of the building’s century old history. During the 150 performance and club events throughout each year, attendees of the venue fill three levels of seating, in addition to booths and royal boxes.

According to Nikki Miles, the venue manager for Academy Bournemouth, the award is a recognition of the quality of the venue’s live shows and events, and a testament to the professionalism and expertise across all departments of the Bournemouth team.
