(Newswire.net — November 1, 2013) Calgary, Alberta — Broadview Homes, Calgary’s custom new home builder, is building a castle themed play house. All proceeds will go to Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta. The newly build castle playhouse would be displayed at CrossIron Mills (http://www.crossironmills.com) from November 18, 2013 to December 31, 2013.

When contacted, Peter-John Woolf, the Vice President of Broadview Homes said, “We are proud to be a part of this initiative to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity. All the members of the team have been excited by the design that we’ve come up with and have enjoyed creating a magical play house that children can enjoy in their backyard for years to come.”

The popular Play House event ran from 1996 to 2009 at Sunridge Mall. Play houses have ranged from simple homes to elaborate themed play houses. At the height of the event, they had 7 play houses. And over the 13 years, it raised over $800,000 for Habitat for Humanity. Unfortunately, the event ended due to poor succession planning when the main project coordinators moved onto other projects.

Qualico and CrossIron Mills have both chosen Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta as their charity of choice and felt that this event was a great fit for the charity. People are encouraged to purchase raffle tickets at $10/ticket to win the play house. Three winners will be drawn in early January.

Broadview Homes is a part of the Qualico group of homebuilders and those who want to learn more about the company can visit their website at http://broadviewhomes.com or call 403.253.3318 to speak with a company representative.
