(Newswire.net — November 14, 2013) Los Angeles, CA — Sunday November 3, 2013 at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Eye Majic by Majic Beauty was privileged to be collaborating on their first program with Art of Elysium by gifting a Select 16 Instant Eye Shadow kit to each of the girls in the program during the graduation of 20 young girls from the Girl Talk program.

“Girl Talk is an arts based self-esteem workshop established to help girls (6-17 years of age) who are patients of plastic surgery. The girls attend an 8-week support program that uses an arts based approach integrating fine and performing arts into each session. The goal of the program is to improve coping skills, as well as addressing social issues such as anxiety, self-esteem, communication, empowerment and positive self image. The Art of Elysium is partnering with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for the 11th year to provide creative workshops in art, dance, acting and fashion”.

The program seeks community support in the form of in-kind donations of time, money, clothing, shoes, accessories, and make-up as well as assistance from artist mentors, doctors, hair stylists and make-up artists. Eye Majic donated 20 of the most fabulous instant eye shadow select 16 gift boxes which even included an amazing waterproof eyeliner. “We are so happy to support such a wonderful organization as The Art of Elysium and be apart of such a wonderful program that truly gives back to the children”, says John Allen, CEO of Majic Beauty

The graduation ceremonies began with two lovely actresses Jessica Makinson and Janet Varney introducing each special graduate.  They shared intimate details of why Girl Talk made a difference and who they wanted to thank most. During the introduction, the graduate modeled clothes by Gap and shoes from Toms. Some girls exuded playful confidence while others seemed gracious and humbled.

Once all of the graduates were introduced, there was a musical interlude that featured a former Girl Talk graduate and her musical companions. They played two songs on the violins beautifully. This was followed up a clothing change sponsored by Lucky and then a dance in which all of the girls danced to the inspiring dance groove “Roar by Katy Perry”.

Next, everyone was treated to a very heartfelt video that interviews each of the girls and tells of their challenges as they journeyed through the program. It was so deeply touching. The closing ceremonies brought each girl once again to the stage where they received an award and an extraordinary gift bag that included the Eye Majic by Majic Beauty Select 16 gift boxes, as well as gifts from What a Betty, What Twirls Around, GAP, Kat Von D, Botany, and Lucky to name just a few. The day ended leaving everyone awe inspired and filled with gratitude.
