(Newswire.net — November 25, 2013) Miami, Florida — It is official: Lady Gaga is indeed the new face of the famous fashion house, Versace. The world-renowned brand has revealed their campaign images for Spring Summer 2014 via Instagram. They also confirmed the news by tweeting last Saturday.

The news doesn’t come as a surprise, as the popular singer has always been a fan of Donatella Versace and the brand for years. Lady Gaga is also a friend of Donatella’s.
“I am honored that my friend Lady Gaga is the face of our new Versace campaign. I wanted to capture her true beauty and spirit in images that are elegant and alluring. She is like family to me, the embodiment of the Versace DNA,” label director, Donatella Versace, said in a statement.
The two women first collaborated when the Italian designer lent Lady Gaga a gown from the Versace archives. The gown was used for her “Edge of Glory” video. Since then, the Grammy Awards singer has been spotted wearing numerous Versace creations.
Lady Gaga further showed her admiration for the well-known designer and label through a song on her latest album titled “Donatella”.
In Gaga’s ode to Donatella, there are lines like, “What do you wanna wear this spring? What do you think is the new thing? What do you wanna wear this season?”
Apparently, the pop star answers all of those questions by being Versace’s new leading lady.
With Lady Gaga as the new representative of Versace, the fashion world can expect a more daring, as well as edgy, femme fatale style of dress.
