Cancer.im is proud to announce that Dr. I. Christopher Hudlin has joined the Cancer.im writing staff.
Dr. Hudlin went to Michigan State University graduating with a degree in biochemistry in 1976. Dr. Hudlin completed medical school at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 1976. Dr. Hudlin completed his general residency in the Air Force at David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base, California. Dr. Hudlin received an Air Force Achievement Award there. After completion of his residency in 1985, Dr. Hudlin spent 3 years at Vandenberg AFB as a staff surgeon and Chief, Hospital Services for USAF Hospital, Vandenberg AFB. Dr. Hudlin started private practice in Stockton, California in 1988. Dr. Hudlin was CEO of Sierra Multisurgical Associates, a multisurgical group, from 1994-2007.
Dr. Hudlin joined Gould Medical Group in 2007 and became General Surgery Section Chief and Chairman, Department of Surgery in 2009. Dr. Hudlin attended a number of management and leadership training courses since joining Sutter/Gould. He is the Chairman Surgical Trauma/Quality Assurance committee, and General Surgical section chief at St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Stockton. He is on the clinical research committee for Sutter Gould.
He is passionate about medicine and an entrepreneur by nature. Ongoing research and development, coordination of care and using medications and alternative treatments to fight diseases are the way of the future in improving outcomes and reducing the cost of healthcare.
