(Newswire.net — December 2, 2013) New York, NY —
Four years ago, Susan Boyle inspired a country, indeed the whole world, with her stunning audition for Britain’s Got Talent. Susan stepped out on the stage and showed poise and wit in her interview with the panel, especially sparring with the notorious Simon Cowell. She took that first deep breath to sing staring into faces full of open doubt and cynicism. And then she sang. In a single phrase, she captured the hearts of millions right through to her final performance on the show and continues to entertain her fans worldwide today.
One of those fans, Carol Kraft (nickname “Tweek”) found inspiration in how Susan was so relatable to so many fans. Everyone has a dream and here was this ordinary woman taking an extraordinary step to achieve hers. To sing in front of all those people, knowing thousands more may see it on camera at a later date, took enormous nerve and daring. The positive response was no guarantee yet Susan appeared undaunted and invulnerable. Admiring the courage of Susan Boyle, Tweek wanted to show her support for her and her career.
Tweek is an artist who is very creative with images. She takes images, sometimes several, and combines them to create unique perspectives and design to photographs for unusual effects. Like snowflakes, no two are ever alike. Each piece of art is brought to life and shaped to shock and awe in its simplicity and design. She likes the challenge of doing something no one else has done before and surprising her audience.
Much like Susan did in her first audition.
Tweek is a dedicated fan of that warm-hearted and engaging woman. She wanted to find a way for herself and others to show their support and appreciation for Susan’s talent. An item that everyone could have individually yet would unite them and make them stand out at the same time. Her idea: a button. One everyone could pin on, could take with them to keep as a souvenior of their experience, yet show their solidarity and support. Tweek started with one button in New York in 2009 for the fans coming to the Today Show in November of 2009.
That led Tweek to design another button for Susan’s performance at Nippon Budokan
(Tokyo, Japan) in 2010. Susan sang in a concert there on her birthday (April 1) in front of 10,000 attendees. Settling upon her unique design and calling up her own courage, Tweek decided to send this special commemorative birthday button to Japan to honor the starlette. Susan was not only overwhelmed with the design, she also later published a picture of this button in her well known autobiography “A Woman I Was Born to Be”.
Since then, Tweek has entered into an exclusive arrangement with Susan’s fan club. Her buttons will help join the millions of Susan’s fans together in support and appreciation of a wonderful woman with a stellar talent. The music of Susan Boyle makes the heart soar and the mind believe anything is possible. Susan’s courage can inspire us all to take those first steps in achieving our own dreams, just like it did for Tweek.
