Dallas comedian Blaine Tucker was taken into police custody last night when police responded to a noise complaint called in from downtown Dallas. Dallas police say that Tucker was charged with public drunkenness after refusing to cooperate with officers during routine questioning.

Tucker was arrested at 4:15 AM outside of a residential building where he and several other individuals were loudly yelling and threatening each other with violence. A resident of the building called the police, who arrived within ten minutes of receiving the complaint.

Blaine Tucker had performed at a Dallas comedy club earlier that evening. Owners of the comedy club declined to comment on Tucker’s arrest.

Eyewitnesses of the arrest claimed that Tucker engaged in physical violence prior to the arrival of the police, but no further charges were pressed and no evidence was presented indicating physical harm. Allegations that the noise complaint arose from a dispute between Blaine Tucker and a member of the comedy club audience have not been confirmed.

Blaine Tucker was released from police custody this morning. He has not been available for comment, but a statement from Mr. Tucker is expected this afternoon.
