The image of a well built wrestler with a honed body builder-like physique, flowing long hair, trademark face paint, tassels on his arms and boots sprinting into the wrestling arena was so recognisable and loved by wrestling fans.

Jumping up and shaking the ropes on the ring and pumping his arms up and down giving off such intense energy and spirit that he became a real life super hero to many fans including children.

This persona was one of the reasons why WWF attracted a massive wrestling viewing audience worldwide who connected with his over the top antics and energy.

“WWF is shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of the most iconic WWF Superstars ever, The Ultimate Warrior,” the company said in a statement Tuesday night.

“Warrior began his WWF career in 1987 and quickly went on to become one of the biggest stars in WWF history.

Warrior became WWF Champion at WrestleMania VI, defeating Hulk Hogan in an epic encounter.

Hulk Hogan taught children to believe in themselves.

John Cena teaches kids the “virtues of hustle, loyalty, and respect.”

The Ultimate Warrior taught kids that intensity and passion can will you to victory.

When you want to quit, you can muster the strength to succeed by finding that Warrior spirit within you.

Any of us can be a Warrior. Whether we will be an “Ultimate” Warrior depends on whether or not we unleash the Warrior spirit to its fullest potential.

From his physique, to the facepaint, to the out-of-left-field promos, they were all there to hide the small and insecure person that he once was, and that we all are at some point, in some way, in our own lives.

He attempted to guide others towards overcoming their shortcomings.

This is the legacy that the Ultimate Warrior has left upon his fans and also his fellow colleagues.

In his speech on Monday Night Raw, Jim Hellwick (The Ultimate Warrior) told the crowd that a person’s legacy is determined by those around him, and that they, the “legend makers,” are responsible for how he’s remembered.

He said a person will only be immortalized if he “makes the blood pulse through the body of others.”

In oher words he lived his life by giving out all the energy he had inside himself thereby showing all his fans they can do he same for themselves by using their internal warrior spirit to overcome any barriers in life and live each day as best they can.
