(Newswire.net — July 3, 2014) Lostock Hall, Preston — An aspiring author, influenced by childhood stories told by her grandad, has had her first novel published online.

Bethany Speight’s first foray into the literary world, “It’s Right In Front Of You” is now available on website, Amazon, to download and the 17-year-old from Walton-le-Dale, credits her grandad with sparking off her passion for writing.

She said: “My grandad would tell us stories about when he was a child and when he was in the war.

“He is really proud of me for getting my first book published, like most of my family.

“I just really love writing stories, it is something I have always done.”

The story tells the tale of Lily who has been in love with her brother’s best friend since she kissed him at her first college party.

But as her life is going perfectly, an old nightmare comes back into her life which could make everything come crashing down.

Bethany juggled writing her book between doing her college work for her performing arts course at Cardinal Newman College.

She said: “At the weekends I would lock myself in my room to carry on getting bits of the book written.

“Everyone is Bethany’s family are very proud of her and are so happy that she’s had her book published.”

Now Bethany is hoping to attend university and carry on her performance studies as well as continuing to write her next novel which she has told me it will be ready in August, just before her 18th birthday.

Her novel, is currently receiving five star reviews on the website and is available to buy for Kindle
