(Newswire.net — September 11, 2014)  — PYT, Northern Liberties restaurant known for unique burger combinations, hosted Mr. McCoy and his three companions on Monday afternoon.

Being a huge fans as they are the whole restaurant staff was excited.

However, after settling a $61 bill, McCoy left 20 cents tip which angered the restaurant owner who posted a photo of that bill online.

After a negative response,  PYT owner wrote that he takes full responsibility and explains what actually happened that day.

“Mr. McCoy and his friend sat inside at a booth next to my management and next to me, PYT’s owner said.

“They were given excellent service. Impeccable service. If anything, our server was a little nervous as was our food runner, because they are big, big fans.” he said in a post.

However, the stuff was surprised because McCoy and his group, from the moment they sat down, were verbally abusive to them “in the most insulting ways.” the PYT owner said.

After Mr McCoy and his group left, they had left a .03% tip for PYT’s staff. That’s twenty cents on a tab of over $60 bill, to split with the food runner and the bartender.

“Two dimes from an insulting multimillionaire.” wrote PYT owner.

The whole story raised multiple online debates weather under-tipping should or should not be posted publicly.

Charlie Sheen took side in the “Tip War”, claiming he’s giving $1,000 to the waiter McCoy “stiffed” after a controversial lunch.

“Dear Tommy Up at PYT in Philly,” Sheen wrote, “please tell Rob K I’m pledging 1000 dollars to him for the tip debacle. Just wanna help. “

Giving a fact that there is unwritten rule 15-20% of a bill for tipping in restaurants, McCoy’s 20 cents tip is significantly lower even than Parking Attendant (usually $1-$3) or Coatroom Attendant (usually $1 per coat), or even a Restroom Attendant (usually 50 cents).

McCoy had no response when asked about the situation.
