(Newswire.net — January 30, 2015) Nanuet, NY — Chasers: An EMS Story is Robert J. Little’s big novel debut. He has combined his love of writing with his 30 years of NYC-EMS experience, along with insights provided by his legal experiences. His writing has  evolved into the current novel, a clever plot featuring larger than life characters, sprinkled liberally with NYC-EMS calls.

Chasers, is a story about Emergency Medical Technicians working in the Bronx. It depicts some of the horrific, depressing experiences and situations they are exposed to on a daily basis. It also exposes individual value systems and how different people chase what they deem precious.

Chasers main character is Emergency Medical Technician, Dexter Reed, he works the night shift for a private ambulance company in the Bronx, New York. Unknown to Dexter, his ambulance partner becomes involved in an ambulance chasing scam that involves an unscrupulous Bronx attorney.

Dexter is pulled into this downward spiral, which draws the attention of the New York City Inspector General. It begins to unravel, followed by the murder of Dexter’s partner.

Publishers Review:
“The author eloquently weaves an inner-city EMS story, from the perspective of an EMS insider and Bronx native. There have been dozens of EMS memoirs written, but none have brought the reader into the world of EMTs and Paramedics as this author does in this novel. He intertwines a clever plot and rich characters, with a copious amount of breath-taking EMS calls.  Here, he brings the plight of the unheralded, often unappreciated, EMTs into the public spotlight.”
