Retired NBA legend Mike “Stinger” Glenn (Knicks, Hawks, Bucks) plays himself in this wonderful film inspired by his real life Basketball camps for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing. In a unique casting, deaf & hard of hearing, and hearing actors work together and deliver a film which is authentic, charming, competitive, funny, and challenging. Spirit of Love is a diverse coming of age story. A group of misfit teens arrive at the 33rd annual basketball camp, which is the first time girls will attend the camp. Some come with hoop dreams, while others are trying to survive tumultuous teenage angst. Not only do they learn life lessons through the game of basketball, they soon learn what it means to soar like Eagles, Win or Lose.

The award winning feature film was written directed and produced by Darla Rae and Film It Productions and was filmed in Colorado.

We made this film to bridge the gap between the deaf and hearing communities. The film and its back story is about helping people, so it seemed fitting to host a benefit screening for an organization such as Sense of Security who does so much for others. What they do is definitely out of a Spirit of Love. They raise money to help those going through treatment for breast cancer and it goes directly to patients, and that’s a great thing. It’s an evening for families to come together and educate younger family members about helping others and see a fun family film while benefitting others in need, said Rae. The film is rated PG by MPAA and is approved for family viewing by the Dove foundation.

Tickets are $25. (Includes, food, snacks, beverages, Beer, and Wine) and available now online at http://www.spiritoflovemovie.com/Buy_Now.html
