(Newswire.net — July 31, 2015) Norwell, MA — Norwell resident Evan Chochrek craved something more challenging and rewarding than a grinding commute to Boston and predictable day job.  He had an appetite for change.  Thus, he purchased the Norwell franchise location of his favorite restaurant – Cravings Café situated near Queen Anne’s Corner at 9 Grove Street.

“Cravings Café’ has been our family’s ‘go to’ pizza and dining spot,” noted Chochrek. He added, “First, I was a fan and a devotee of the Margarita Muchacho artisan pizza and Crispy Buffalo Chicken wrap. Then I started to think about the business opportunity.  I know how busy this location is and how popular the concept is.  I am really excited about sharing great food and building my dream business.”

As a franchise location, there will be a seamless transition to Chochrek’s ownership. The menu and decor will remain the same. As a Norwell resident, Chochrek brings an additional community sensibility to the business.

Cravings Café, Norwell will continue to employ 10 – 20 people and is always on the lookout for energetic and outgoing people to work mother’s hours and other shifts.

South Shore Massachusetts residents attest to Cravings Café’s winning culinary assortment, which includes paninis, such as their popular Turkey Gobbler and Turkey Reuben; wraps that range from Cranberry Pecan Chicken to Arugula Strawberry; artisan pizzas that go beyond the expected such as Blue Buffalo, Lemon, and Margarita Muchacho; breakfast pizzas that are worth waking up for; subs that not only fill you, but seriously satisfy; big juicy burgers that will challenge your appetite; hand-cut Pomme Frites; savory salads; sizzling soups; oven fresh pastries; and famous jumbo cupcakes that seduce your sweet tooth, including “Oh My God” Coconut, Chocolate Peanut.

With additional locations including the flagship in Kingston, MA and first franchisee in Marshfield, MA, Cravings Café is looking to controlled growth and plans to add another 15 stores in the Greater Boston Area in the next five years.   Management is in the process of identifying key locations and accepting franchise applications.

Jay Johnson, one of the founders of the Cravings Café concept, brings decades of restaurant experience to the mix, noted, “I’ve been in the food service business for over 30 years working on creating a restaurant concept that turns customers into fans and regular diners. Cravings Café can work in any market because of the broad appeal of our wide-ranging menu, and ability to address the customers’ needs, whether by prompt delivery, convenient take-out, custom catering, or served in our comfortable and friendly setting by our enthusiastic staff.

He added, “We look to help build similar restaurants and fulfill dreams for franchisees that are willing to put in effort, pay close attention to detail and maintain the same customer focus that we have established. It may surprise some, but we are not necessarily looking for people with food service experience. Rather, we encourage those with great energy, strong people skills and a tremendous drive to succeed.”

The Cravings Café concept includes a manageable size of 2,000-3,000 square feet. This provides ample space for an open floor plan enabling the staff to interact with your customers throughout the day.

Bob Geist, co-founder along with Jay Johnson, notes, “There are a number of reasons to buy a franchise like Cravings. You are not reinventing the wheel, but buying into a proven system and the experience of the founders. Training programs walk you through every aspect of the operation. On-going support and mentoring mean that you are not isolated or alone. Marketing assistance helps you bring customers in the door and keep them coming back. Location research and build-out design consultation ensure that you choose the right environment for long term success.”
