Chandler Dentists Hosts Candy Buy Back Event

(Newswire.net — October 15, 2015) Chandler, Arizona — After the Halloween trick or treating is over and the children return home from making their rounds through the neighborhood, Impressions Dental and Aspen Orthodontics are teaming up once again to offer them a reason to hold on to all of their candy for a couple of days. The Eighth Annual Halloween Candy Buy-back takes place in Chandler on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.

The Impressions Dental office at 5970 S. Cooper Road, Suite 1 Chandler, Arizona, will be transformed into a world of bounce houses, obstacle courses, games, raffles and more than a few surprises. Appearances by the Waffle Love and Kona Ice trucks should tempt and delight children and adults.

“Telling children not to eat candy and sweets because it is bad for them, and then hoping they listen to us, is what I’m expected to do as a Chandler pediatric dentist,” said Dr. Brigham D. Baker of Impressions Dental. “This event lets us go beyond merely words. We’re providing a real incentive and an opportunity for children and their parents to get the sweets out of the house while having lots of fun at the same time.”

For every pound of unopened candy donated, the child receives a dollar. As an added incentive for children and adults to avoid sweets by donating them, an additional 50 cents per pound will be donated to a school of the person’s choice. As in previous years, the dentist in Chandler AZ has teamed with Operation Gratitude to distribute the donated candy to American service members around the world.

Halloween candy buy-back events in past years have included balloon artists and other entertainment guaranteed to add a festive touch to the fall proceedings. Reducing sugar consumption by local children while bringing a touch of home to the troops stationed overseas is the serious side of the event, but the staff at Impressions Dental and Aspen Orthodontics are placing the emphasis on having fun.
