(Newswire.net — March 4, 2016) —The nanny waited for the parents and older child, 15, to leave the apartment, and then killed the little girl and set the fire to the apartment. She then went on to the metro station in northwest Moscow, where a police officer stopped her and asked to see her documents. She then took the girl’s head out from a bag and began to shout that she killed the child.
The woman, who authorities now suspect suffered from manic psychosis, had been wearing a black hijab, screaming in Russian that the end of the world is coming and she is death, a terrorist, a suicide bomber and that she will die. A policeman wrestled the woman to the ground before colleagues helped restrain her.
Polina Nikolskaya, a reporter for the RBC daily newspaper who witnessed the event, said that she heard a woman shouting “Allahu Akbar”.
The nanny, 38 year old Gulchekhra Bobokulova from Uzbekistan, explained to the police that she carried out the attack because of her husband’s infidelity and added that Allah ordered her to kill the girl. During the investigation, Moscow police revealed that the suspect may have been on light drugs, and added that the beheaded body of the child was found while putting out a fire in a Moscow apartment block.
The murdered girl was four-years old and is said to have had learning difficulties and could not walk. Gulchekhra Bobokulova had worked as the family’s nanny for the last 18 months.
“Given the clearly deranged behaviour of the detainee, investigators swiftly ordered her to undergo psychiatric tests to establish whether she is capable of understanding the significance of her actions,” Moscow’s investigative committee announced in a statement.
In memory of the murdered girl, residents of Moscow have been leaving flowers and candles in front of the “October field” metro station .
