(Newswire.net — April 4, 2016) Santa Ana, California — MX Electronics Manufacturing, an electronic manufacturing services company, has just announced hiring their new VP of Operations – Jeffrey Nicholas as part of the ongoing company expansion plan. Mr. Nicholas has an extensive background with a proven track-record of successfully managing multiple high-technology electronic manufacturing sites while delivering outstanding efficiency and performance.
Before MX Electronics Manufacturing (http://www.mx-emi.com/), Mr. Nicholas had been with Meggitt Sensing Systems (MSS) for over 32 years. MSS is a division of Meggitt PLC, a global leader in the design and manufacturing of dynamic instrumentation for vibration, shock and pressure measurement with products built for mission-critical applications in aerospace, industrial, automotive, medical and energy industries. Meggitt PLC is a UK-based company with around 11,000 employees and $2B in sales.
Mr. Nicholas was the Senior Director for Manufacturing as well as the Deputy Site General Manager for Meggitt’s facility in Irvine, CA. He was responsible for the consolidation of three manufacturing sites into a new 195 sq. ft. location. “For over two years, I worked very closely with Jeff, as we prepared for the consolidation of two geographically separated manufacturing facilities (one in California, the other in New Hampshire), into a combined new location,” says Douglas Calder, VP of Manufacturing Strategy at Meggitt Sensing Systems. “Working frequently across the continent, he became a key factor in the success of the consolidation project; and executed his responsibilities, always respectful of the individuals he worked with at all levels of the organization.”
Mr. Nicholas was also the General Manager for Meggitt’s St. Croix office from 1994-2005.
According to Dave Bucka, Program Director at Meggitt, Mr. Nicholas had been the top manager in their Operations group, running a $50M+ factory, before he dealt with the transfer of several products to and from various manufacturing sites.
