Dr. Wade is an accomplished author, and the creator and founder of the Love, Money & Seva Seminars and Power Coaching and Training International.
Dr Wade will be recognized by the Women Rock Project for her lifetime of contributions to her passion of empowering women to transform their lives. Starting at age 16, Dr. Wade began co-hosting a television show. Since that time, she has used her public platform to transform the lives of her audience. She has appeared in many venues including Oprah, The Today Show, Good Morning America, and most recently, Dr. Oz and Dr. Drew. She hosted four national television shows, two in syndication, and two for PBS television.
Dr. Wade teaches a workshop titled “Modern Day Love Training” where she works to reduce divorce. According to Dr. Wade, having an unstable family environment accounts for up to half of the absences of children from school, as well as over half of the lost time at work. Dr. Wade says “If people would just do pre-marital coaching, the divorce rate would fall in half”.
Dr. Wade is the author of several books, including: “99 Things You Wish You Knew Before Falling In Love”, “Power Choices: 7 Milestones on Your Journey to Wholeness, Love, Joy and Peace”, “What Mama Couldn’t Tell Us About Love”, and “Love Lessons: A Guide to Transforming Relationships”. Dr. Wade has also appeared as an author in Essence, “O”, Ebony, Ladies Home Journal, Jet, Heart & Soul and Bridal Fantasymagazines.
Dr. Wade’s current project is “Healing Invisible Wounds”. This initiative will take shape in the form of symposia, workshops, lectures, and possibly a new book in the coming year. The thesis behind “Healing Invisible Wounds” is that the history of racism, sexism, that many have experienced have shaped societal attitudes and behaviors in negative ways that we often don’t recognize. Dr. Wade says: “If we raise our consciousness, we become the best human beings we can be, and only then can we impact the world around us.”
