Positive Thinking Could Hold People Back

(Newswire.net — April 12, 2017) Henfield, West Sussex — There have been a whole bunch of blog articles and press releases recently released that have a negative view about the whole idea of positive thinking. According to smallbiztrends.com, even though quite a lot is heard about how positive thinking is an awesome tool for both business and individuals, it would appear that success goals can sometimes be hindered by positive thinking.

A prime example of such pitfalls, according to psychologytoday.com, is the possibility of fooling oneself with positive thinking. The article says that by trying to convince oneself about an outcome, it can prevent us from seeing the reality of the matter. For example, by convincing oneself that a deal will be closed or that a presentation will be successfully presented. While each of them is certainly a great outcome when thought about in a positive mode, the article points out that in case that beliefs and experiences don’t go hand in hand, people will inevitably become confused and frustrated.

An example provided in the article for making sure that positive thinking is put through a reality test was to consider the alternatives, and to have up to at least a plan b, should plan a not work out. On the healthy side of the coin according to the article, a recent research has indicated that being positive about future tasks helps in calming people down, while also reducing their blood pressure. But on the negative side, such thinking will also reduce ones energy levels, so too much positive thinking can lead to people feeling sanguine about a certain situation, or about their future.

According to Saltori thinking guru Andy Shaw, beyond positive thinking exists the key to wealth, personal success and potentially becoming rich. In a recent blog post seen on saltori.com, he says our thoughts will create our outcomes. He adds: “No thought will ever stand still, it will either help or hurt. Should it hurt then it will take us away from our desires, and should it help it will take us towards them. You see not every individual thought is the same, so they never have the exact same level of power, because every thought is unique. There are thoughts which take us to our objective quickly, but some are a lot slower in landing. On the other hand, some of our thoughts will quickly drag us away from desires, whereas others very slowly.”

Andy also says that for people who want to get more from their lives than they currently have, it’s just a question of removing hurtful thoughts and nurturing the helpful ones. More information about the Saltori method of thinking can be found on the official website www.saltori.com, along with a number of complimentary personal development downloadable pdfs and a happiness test.
