Espressotec Tees off in Support of Opportunity International

(Newswire.net — August 10, 2017) Vancouver, BC — What do coffee and golf have in common? They both bring people together — and on Friday, August 11, Espressotec and their friends at Silver Chef Canada will be uniting both communities in support of a tremendous cause.

Silver Chef’s second annual golf tournament takes place this Friday at UBC Golf Club — and by the time it’s finished, Opportunity International will have changed the lives of over 1,695 people. 100% of the proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the charity, which provides access to savings, small business loans, insurance, and training to over 5 million people in more than 20 developing countries. Thanks to partnerships with companies like Silver Chef, Opportunity International is able to grant nine loans every minute to entrepreneurs working their way out of poverty.

In addition to entering the tournament, Espressotec Sales and Service will be sponsoring Hole #1 and offering cold brew coffees to participating golfers. Made from Italian-roasted coffee from Caffé D’arte Coffee Roasters, the slow-brewed concentrate will be served in a number of different styles: layered in a vanilla-cream shooter, combined with tonic, shaken with a touch of white chocolate, or simply poured over ice. Cold brew, one of today’s hottest ways to cool down, has been linked to many health benefits and enhanced athletic performance, which makes it the perfect refreshment for the occasion.

The tournament will tee-off at 1:15pm. Always the generous gourmets, Silver Chef will open the event with a barbecue at 11:30am and close with a sumptuous dinner buffet. Tickets for single player registration ($199) include both meals, one round of golf, and a cart rental. Prizes (also provided by Silver Chef) include a whiskey set, coffee gear, a GoPro camera, a FitBit band, and a barbecue. Thus far, participation and enthusiasm from companies like Body Active, Pallet Coffee Roasters, Flight Centre, Vortex Restaurant Equipment, Granville West, Russell Hendrix, Pinnacle, A&W and Quality Coffee Systems has been very generous. A silent partner has also agreed to match all donations from the event.
