(Newswire.net — January 5, 2018) Costa Mesa, CA — New Directions for Women (NDFW) announced the appointment of Sue Bright as the new Executive Director of New Directions for Women, Inc. Sue Bright has served as Vice President of Patient Services and Quality of Livengrin Foundation in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, where she has worked since 1992. A 25-year veteran of the nonprofit addiction treatment section, Sue served as Vice President of Patient Services and Quality at Livengrin Foundation, Inc. and specializes in intake and admissions, as well as clinical services. She has tremendous experience developing relationships with private insurers, working collaboratively with staff to ensure growth and to develop Quality measures that track the success of services over time. She will begin her new role at New Directions for Women on February 8, 2018. In the meantime, Tania Bhattacharyya has been appointed as the interim Executive Director and she will also serve as the Executive Director of New Directions for Women Foundation as Ms. Bright joins the team. Ms. Bhattacharyya currently serves as the Director of Development and Public Relations and has been a part of the NDFW organization since 2009. During her tenure, the organization completed two capital campaigns to increase bed capacity and improve environment of care, worked with individual donors and foundations to raise over $4M for the Pamela Wilder Scholarship Fund, and continued strengthening the organization as a ‘household name’ both locally and nationally.

“We are grateful that our interim Executive Director comes from within; we’ve appreciated her stability, dedication, and professionalism over the last nine years in all areas of fundraising, marketing, and public relations,” Ann Premazon, New Directions for Women Board Chair, said. “We are also extremely excited to have found Sue Bright after a nationwide search to head the New Directions for Women Inc. operations, and are confident that NDFW’s services and programs will continue to be a tremendous success under her leadership. Her decades of expertise in the areas of clinical and admissions will be a key asset.”

Immediate past CEO Becky Flood will continue further a mutually beneficial relationship with New Directions for Women after becoming President of Ashley Addiction Treatment in January 2018, by staying on the New Directions for Women Board of Directors. Ms. Flood says, “I feel confident we have the right people in the right seats and envision a very sustainable future for New Directions. Both Sue, Tania, and the entire organization, will be emerging from their chrysalis as butterflies — similarly to our patients emerging along their own path of recovery.”  Looking ahead, our plans are to further evolve the relationship between these two organizations which hold the same values, have impeccable reputations and have had such incredible impact on lives spanning the East and West Coasts.

This dynamic duo will continue to grow both 501(c)3 nonprofits.  The mission of New Directions for Women, Inc. is “Saving the lives of women of all ages, women with children and pregnant women affected by alcoholism, other addictions and related issues”, and the mission of New Directions for Women Foundation is “Providing investors with a forum to give enduring financial security to New Directions for Women, enabling the operating organization opportunities to provide treatment for women, children and their families, with a vision of achieving lifetime recovery and wellness.”
