If Covid has gotten you down or you’ve just found yourself recently falling into slumps, it sounds like it’s time to do a little self-healing and improve your mental health. There are various ways you can go about doing this and honestly, there’s no wrong way, but here are a couple things that I’ve found to help me when I’m feeling a little down.

1.      Take some time.

If you feel like you’re rushing to get from place to place, or you’re constantly stressed because of family, school, extracurriculars, or something personal, it’s good to take some time and just focus on you and your needs. If you have ample time to do this, try talking to friends about what you’re feeling or trusting in a loved one. If you feel that you can handle whatever you’re dealing with alone but don’t have time to sit down and relax, plan out 15minutes per day when you can refocus and destress. During this time, don’t worry about anything else. Find a quiet place without any distractions. Leave your phone in another room so no one can bother you and just breath. Refocus and realign yourself. After 15 minutes have gone by, you should feel ready to take on the world again.

2.      Increase your confidence.

Most of the time, our mental health suffers when we have a bad image of ourselves. If we can increase our confidence in ourselves as humans or our abilities, we will find the inner strength to push through whatever challenges come our way. The best ways to do this are through hygiene and personal care and doing whatever you need to make yourself feel clean and confident. Something that’s worked for me is indoor tanning lotion. It helps me feel confident about myself and expresses my inner worth in an external expression. The best stuff that I’ve found works for me is Jwoww tanning lotion. After I use that, I put on something that makes me feel confident and feel better about myself, my potential, and whatever I might be struggling with.

3.      Change your way of thinking.

I know, easier said than done, but if you can change your way of thinking from a short minded to longer minded thinking pattern, it will be easier to realize that you’ve felt happy in the past and that everything passes with time. Although it’s easy to get caught up in the here and now, it is much better to look at life as a whole. Things will get better and attitudes will improve. You will eventually find what you are looking for, even though it might seem difficult to imagine in the present. Life changes every day and curveballs are thrown at us constantly. But eventually everything will settle in its place and we will see what we had been missing previously. Steve Jobs once said, “You can’t connect the dots looking forwards; you can only connect them looking backwards.”
