Front line personnel that work within services like child abuse agencies and the NDIS support coordination services, should deserve the top awards going when it comes to providing a service over and above what your average person just wouldn’t be able to perform. It takes a really special kind of person to be able to work day to day for those with disabilities, sometimes having to help with some very personal cleanliness issues. In order to provide a good level of care, consistently, and have fun whilst doing it, the doctor, consultant or the nurse must really love the job that they do.
For the love of it
When speaking with doctors and nurses, they were aware that Multicap is an NDIS support coordination provider although they weren’t 100% sure exactly what services they offer. What they did say was that those who choose to be a nurse, or a doctor they, on the most part, had some kind of experience at some point during their life and it put them in a mindset of wanting to help others. For some people, some people genuinely live to care for people which is the kind of dedication you get when the staff are well looked after, work as a team and love the job that they do.
What does the role entail?
There are a wide range of services that you can expect to make use of if, as follows;
-
Support Accommodation for people with disabilities.
Increasing impedance and choice through a range of accommodation options. After having a quick look, the accommodation looks out of this world, new builds, clean and tidy modern yet contemporary designs.
-
Community Access and Group Activities
Supporting community and social participation through group and individual support. One of the major health benefits of working with dedicated nurses is that they can help with your daily tasks and take you out and about to ensure that you are involved in community activities. Without this kind of help it’s easy to obtain further injuries from not being active.
-
Assisted daily living
Providing high quality, individualized supports in your home and community. This is a really popular service because people, unless they really are ready will want to stay at their own property until the need changes, what better way than with a carer to ensure that you are ok.;
-
Day Services
Supporting community and social participation through a range of group and individual supports
As well as having structure, it’s also really good for the body and mind to have the odd surprise or trip with other children.
-
Home support services
Supporting you in your home to develop skills and enjoy living the way you choose to
Most people want to be left alone to get on with their daily jobs or whatever else they want to do, if they are capable. However, having the support of a live-in nurse or, at least somebody who drops in as agreed. Some patients literally just call when they are hungry and that’s fine at least they are eating.
All in all
The work done by these fabulous people is often well overlooked, that is of course until you try the job but, fortunately, if you do need these kinds of services then get in touch with your local care team.
