(newswire.net–April 1 2013)Chicago, Illinois–Children’s eBook author J.B. O’Neil cannot claim to have the long pedigree of beloved writers such as Dr. Suess of Dave Pilky, but he may be able to claim a similar dominance and name-brand appeal. J.B. O’Neil’s most recently released children’s book, “Grandma vs. Zombies,” has become the #3 bestselling cartoon book on Amazon’s Kindle platform. The books that bested it: two more of O’Neil’s works. His full backlist can be explored here.
In fact, the entire panoply of O’Neil’s children’s books rank in the top 10 of cartoons, a category that is not lacking in competition. Coming in 4th is a collection by Lincoln Pierce of “Big Nate,” a newspaper comic thats collections have appeared on the New York Time’s bestseller’s lists. “Ninja Farts,” the #1 bestselling cartoon book, boasts a hat trick of #1 bestselling titles that it has held onto for months. It is the top selling item in the cartoon book category, Children’s Humor book category, and comic strips & cartoons category (under “comics and graphic novels).
One must wonder how an author with no major publishing experience has managed to build a digital dynasty in a relative blink of an eye. A contributing factor may be O’Neil’s consistent inclusion of an audiobook edition for his books, which would help increase the perceived value of his products. Additionally, his books carry average reviews of 4.2 or higher, lending his works credibility and reputation.
With the commercially successful “Grandma vs. Zombies” apparently getting a sequel soon, J.B. O’Neil evidently does not plan on relinquishing his position anytime soon. Parties interested in exploring his full backlist may find it by accessing his Amazon author account, in this link.
J.B. O’Neil is the author of the popular and best-selling “Fart Books,” and the spin-off “The Booger Book,” as well as the “Family Avengers” series. His books, conceptualized by his young son, are written with the ideal of encouraging young boys to read and learn to enjoy the magic of the written word.
