(Newswire.net — June 9, 2014) Hamburg, AR — Innovative skin ointment manufacturer, Skin Sake, announces its new alliance with ultra-distance runner, Stan Cottrell, and his Friendship Sports charity to help orphans for years to come. Its ‘Booty Goo’ baby diaper rash treatment and prevention brand will help meet assessed needs of children of all ages, not just infants with diaper rash at orphanages where Cottrell makes his global Friendship Runs.
“We are excited to commit a percentage of all Booty Goo sales proceeds for as long as there’s a Booty Goo, plus tangible products for orphans in the venues where Stan runs. We not only help protect and soothe baby’s bottom, but prevent and treat rashes of all kinds to ease suffering, in addition to providing funds. Our commitment to help fund specifically identified projects and needs at individual orphanages is a continuation of the charitable focus of this company since its inception,” said Bain Foote, co-founder of Skin Sake.
The commitment was an easy one for Foote to make. When he first heard of the global friendship run for the orphans, he immediately saw the “fit” and contacted Stan Cottrell. But Skin Sake had to meet Friendship Sports’ three-pronged criteria for a strategic alliance:
(1) its products had to be appropriate for friendship and orphans;
(2) its theme had to tie in with Cottrell’s runs, and
(3) the company and its leaders had to have ethics, quality and character consistent with Friendship Sports’ mindstyle and mission.
Skin Sake and its Booty Goo baby diaper change ointment brand scored high on all points.
Stan Cottrell remarked on the desirability of the match, too, noting his career focus on health, fitness and wellness combined with decades of Friendship Runs through 39 countries, his heart aching for the orphans, underprivileged and abandoned children he saw along the way. He witnessed deplorable conditions in orphanages around the world, in spite of valiant efforts on the part of harried workers. So he dedicated his 6+ year global run to raising awareness and funds for orphans.
“It’s a crying shame when babies go to bed crying with a raw bottom… I care about orphans. I care about their little diaper-rashed bottoms… More workers and funds are needed. Yeah, I’m concerned as I run.”
And he’s determined to do something about it. This alliance will help. Also, as a side benefit, not only will Booty Goo address needs of the orphans, the charitable purpose of Cottrell’s upcoming global runs, but Skin Sake’s athletic ointment will help prevent the chafing and blisters that are the bane of distance runners. Cottrell calls it a marriage made in Heaven.
He was quoted on NBC, CBS, ABC and FOXNews affiliates summing up the new Stan Cottrell – Booty Goo alliance for orphans:
“We’re declaring war. We want to do everything we can to create a healthy, nurturing environment for these orphans, and Booty Goo has a prominent place.”
Cottrell went on to promise publicly: “So long as there’s a child in an orphanage who goes to sleep crying for lack of love and attention, I will run and run and run.”
And running he is at age 71, with feet still appearing like a hover-craft as they skim the road’s surface in daily training. Decades of “beta tests” proved the effectiveness of friendship runs, and the first of the new global runs for the orphans has taken place in Ethiopia. More are scheduled for coming months. Leaders of orphanages are already making contact, and Skin Sake is garnering its diaper rash treatment profits for this new alliance to help the most vulnerable.”The official announcement is, “It’s about to begin.”
