Dan Clark was a aspiring athlete, and was projected as a number one draft choice for the NFL Oakland Raiders. An injury to his 7th vertebra during a tackling drill in his sophmore year at college derailed his plan and cut his football career short. No longer able to compete, Dan fought his way back from the paralyzing injury, for which he was given a 10% chance of recovery at best. Dan was invited to a local high school to speak to kids about his recovery. He was then invited to speak for Nancy Regan’s “Just Say No” campaign, and from there concentrated on a full time leadership and team building career.

In 1982, Dan was sponsored by motivational teacher Zig Ziglar into the National Speakers Association and has since spoken to more than 5,000 audiences, 4 million people, in all 50 states and in 59 countries, to organizations such as Apple, Verizon, McDonalds, Marriott, the Super Bowl Champions, the American Bankers Association, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, to the United Nations World Congress and many more.

In 2005, Dan was inducted into the National Speakers Hall of Fame, and Achievers North America and has been named one of the Top Ten Speakers In The World by Achievers Europe.

Dan published his first book in 1983. In 1993, he became a primary contributing author to the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. An accomplished storyteller, Dan is published in 50 million books, and is the author of 21 of his own books including Soul Food, the business best seller Art of Significance and a short story, Puppies for Sale, which was turned into a short film starring Jack Lemmon.

Dan is the CEO of the international communications and high performance consulting firm, Clark Success Systems, a New York Times Best Selling Author, University Professor, Adventurer, Journalist, Philanthropist, and more, as well as being one of the most sought after speakers in the world today.

Some of Dan’s adventures include soaring to the edge of space in a U2 Spy Plane, flown fighter jets with the Air Force Thunderbirds, raced automobiles at Nurburgring, raced dog sleds in the arctic, won an “America’s Cup Class” sailboat race in the Pacific, and carried the Olympic Torch in the 2002 Winter Games.
