Dermatologists Now Warn Dirt and Sweat Can Damage the Skin

(Newswire.net — January 28, 2019) Wilmington, DE — There is a wide range of skin cleansing products available in the market today. These products can be helpful, but dermatologists recommend understanding what the effects of dirt, debris, and sweat are on the skin.

It has long been recommended to shower once or twice a week to ensure that dead skin, sweat, and dirt don’t stay in the epidermis for longer than they should.  Scrubbing is also essential to have clear, glowing skin.

Dr. Adebola Dele-Michael, a dermatologist at Radiant Skin Dermatology and Laser in New York City, says that sweat purges the body of toxins that can clog pores and plague the skin with pimples and blemishes.

Unfortunately, there are times when sweat lingers. When it is not washed immediately, they can settle back into the pores together with the toxins it carry along.

According to research, the body sheds almost 30,000 dead skin flakes every minute.  Washing and exfoliating twice a week is essential to provide space for the new skin cells.

Cleansing the skin is similarly important to eliminate viruses, bacteria, and microbes from the skin. When the skin is cleansed, it is not quite susceptible to various threats.

When it comes to cleansing the skin from virus, fungi, and bacteria, there are natural remedies like aloe vera found to be helpful.

This medicinal plant has long been used due to its remarkable healing benefits. It doesn’t just have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, but also antibacterial agents.

In a randomized clinical trial involving 390 people, it has been found aloe vera mouthwash work as good as antibacterial chemicals in eliminating plaque. After the 30-day study, the subjects achieved healthier gums, and even reduced plaque.

In some studies, aloe vera has been found to kill herpes simplex virus and it wasn’t toxic to other cells. Researchers say it inactivated viruses, such as herpes simplex, influenza, and varicella zoster.

There are other antibacterial benefits of aloe vera, such as its ability to inhibit fungal growth, bacteria, and viruses.

While more studies are still underway to explore more of aloe vera’s antimicrobial effects, it is worth mentioning that its use is highly recommended and widespread.

It can be obtained easily through the use of DermaSafe Stretch Mark and Scar Cream. While this cream is specifically made to reduce the appearance of marks and scars, it is aloe-vera-based.

This means it could deliver the antimicrobial benefits of the plant. It also has aloe vera’s over 75 nutrients and 200 active compounds. The active compounds include: 12 vitamins, 20 minerals, and 18 amino acids.

Aside from aloe vera, DermaSafe Stretch Mark and Scar Cream also has Arnica, Cucumber, Elderberries, Wood Mallow, and Rutin.
