(Newswire.net — January 22, 2018) Orlando, FL — Exercise is something that many people try to avoid. This is especially true for individuals who suffer from painful and debilitating conditions, such as arthritis. However, exercise is essential for pain management and in maintaining optimum health.

Experts reveal some hand and finger exercises for arthritis. There are simple physical activities that many people take for granted, such as buttoning a shirt or opening a jar. These are considered to be very simple things, but for individuals with arthritis, they may be a struggle.

There are hand and finger exercises that are thought to help reduce pain and enhance one’s range of motion. These exercises also increase one’s ability to perform a variety of tasks on a daily basis.

Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis, and it typically develops due to wear and tear in the joint cartilage. Rheumatoid arthritis, which is second to osteoarthritis as the most prevalent form of arthritis, is an autoimmune condition.

A certified hand therapist (CHT) may help sufferers identify the methods and techniques to decrease swelling and pain. There are exercise programs occupational therapists design for the unique needs and conditions of sufferers.

Monique Turenne, OTR/L, a certified therapist at Johns Hopkins Hospital’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation recommends some exercises that can help enhance a range of motion. Two of these workouts are muscle-strengthening exercises.

It is suggested that sufferers do a few slow repetitions once a day, but it should depend on the severity of pain. They may then increase to 10 slow repetitions gradually. It may be helpful to soak the hands with warm water before performing the exercises. This is believed to help reduce pain.

For the fingers, sufferers may lay their hand palm side up on a table. With the use of their opposite hand, they may grasp and hold the affected finger below the end joint, which is at the middle section. They may then bend as well as straighten their finger at the end joint while keeping the rest of their fingers straight.

There are just some of the steps arthritis sufferers can take in order to reduce their pain. It may also be beneficial to consider the use of glucosamine, which has long been thought to be one of the most powerful joint health-enhancing supplements.

Arthritis sufferers may want to consider the use of VitaBreeze’s glucosamine supplement, which is a formula believed by many international consumers to be safe and potent to use.

One of the benefits of using this glucosamine formula is that it contains a combination of potentially therapeutic ingredients, such as chondroitin, methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) and turmeric.
