(Newswire.net — April 29, 2013) Sacramento,CA — Google Now offers voice search and location services to display answers to varous questions.Google Now  pulls information from all of your Google services, like Search, Gmail, Calendar, Maps, Chrome browser history, and anything else that is connected to your Google account, to provide pertinent information before you even know that you need it.

While Siri displays data that is requested from the app, Google Now will optimize to your preferences with various “cards.” When you launch the app, cards are situated at the bottom and accessed by swiping upwards. Each card carries information catered to your preferences — the weather when you open the app first thing in the morning, or breaking news stories you might find interesting

Once Google Now learns where you work, live, what you’re interested in or searching for, it can help you with various tasks like remembering appointments, keeping you punctual, and give you traffic updates according to the routes that you travel.

Some analysts have been saying Apple’s Siri, which comes pre-loaded on iPhones and iPads, represents a growing threat to Google, the world’s No. 1 search engine. The information that Siri provides on common topics such as sports scores and nearby restaurants reduces the need to visit Google’s search engine, the analysts said. Google Now will help bridge that gap.

Google quickly won over millions of iPhone users in December when it released a mapping application to replace the navigation system that Apple dumped when it redesigned iOS last fall. Apple’s maps application proved to be inferior to Google’s ousted service.  The service contained embarrassing errors, drawing fierce criticism from consumers and reviewers and forcing Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook to offer a public apology.

You can get Google Now from the App Store. The smartphone has emerged as a key battleground between Google and Apple as consumers increasingly access the Web with mobile devices instead of personal computers. Many smartphone users are taking advantage of pre-paid cell plans because the savings can be extroadinary. Solavei actually offers customers an opportunity for free unlimited service.
