Huge Kids Fair “GymPalooza” set for Aug 23rd

Lansing’s Largest Free Family Fun and Playtime Event, called “GymPalooza,” is set for August 23rd, 2014 in Dimondale (Lansing).  GymPalooza is the premier annual event for kids and families in the Greater Lansing area. Two charities will benefit from donation proceeds at the event.

 

GymPalooza promises to be Lansing’s Ultimate Family Fun Day.  Tickets are free and can be reserved online at gympalooza.com.  You’ll find the festivities taking place outdoors on the expasive grounds of The Summit, as well as inside at the gymnastics club.  The event is open to the public and every child and family in the Greater Lansing area is invited to join the fun!

 

Gedderts’ Twistars USA Gymnastics Club, owned by world renowned USA Olympic Team Coaches, John and Kathryn Geddert, will host GymPalooza. “Its our way of saying thank you to the entire Lansing communtiry for all the support they have given to Twistars Gymanastics Club by participating in the recreational gymnastics classes with their children, and by supporting our competitive team athletes in competition locally and internationally.  The support we felt from the Lansing community during the 2012 Olympic Games was amazing so we want to give back and say thanks with this free event for families.  We’ve got lots of great activities, games and prizes planned that I think everyone is really going to love” says John Geddert – Owner and Head Coach at Twistars.

 

The event is completely free, and donation proceeds contributed during the event will benefit two Lansing based charities:  The Gymnastics Doctor Autism Foundation and the Life As A Zebra Foundation (benefiting invisible illnesses).  Donations will be accepted for beverages, dunk tank throws, t-shirts, etc.   There is no obligation to make any donation during the event, and all proceeds collected will benefit these two deserving charties.

 

GymPalooza promises to be a spectacular family fun day featuring a huge variety of kids activities including:

8 inflatable bounce houses, 2 large inflatable obstacle courses, a 2 story inflatable rock climing wall, inflatable Derby Days racing on hippity hop horses, inflatable Wrecking Ball challenge; a stage with live music and a DJ; a real live firetruck, and firemen, and the kids get to actually man the hoses; circus acts; face painting; special appearances by well known super heroes including bat man, spider man, cinderella and Rapunzel; free supervised gymnastics lessons; big prize give-a-ways; hula hoop games, gymnastics exhibitions from the boys and girls competitive teams, toddler games and activities and more.

 

Twistars USA Gymnastics Club, and the expansive outdoor fields of The Summit Sports and Ice Complex, provide the perfect venue for this event which takes place from 1:00 – 8:00pm.  

 

Many Lansing area businesses will support the event with donated equipment, prizes and volunteers.  Below is a list of sponors and their generous contributions:

 

PepsiCo of Lansing is contributing all the beverages for the event as well as several grand prizes for both kids and adults that you won’t want to miss as well as several event volunteers.

 

Great Lakes Bounce is providing 10 of the giant inflatable bounce houses and obstacle courses for the event.
