(Newswire.net — November 8, 2021) Winnetka, IL — Stress is undeniably widespread nowadays, and it continues to increase as the pandemic lingers. In various research studies, chronic stress is associated with the increased risk of disease onset.

Health authorities warn that chronic stress may also wreak havoc on immune system health.

There are scientifically proven ways to reduce stress levels, such as following healthy dietary and lifestyle improvements. It may also be beneficial to have a positive outlook on life and try to be happy.

A study was carried out and published in the PLOS ONE journal.

This study was carried out by researchers from the Division of Clinical Psychology and Epidemiology of the Department of Psychology at the University of Basel.

The lead authors of this research were Dr. Thea Zander-Schellenberg and Dr. Isabella Collins.

The findings of this research have shown that individuals who laugh frequently in their daily lives may be better able to deal with stressful events. However, it is worth noting that this doesn’t appear to apply to laughter intensity.

According to experts, estimates show people usually laugh 18 times a day, and this is in a general sense, during interactions with others. It may also depend on the degree of pleasure they experience.

The investigators of this research also reported differences related to factors like time of day, age, and gender. For instance, it is found on average women smile more than men.

In this intensive longitudinal study, the investigators used an acoustic signal from a mobile phone app that prompted participants to answer questions eight times a day at irregular intervals for a period of 14 days.

It is worth noting that the questions were related to the intensity as well as the frequency of laughter and reason for laughing.

It is hard to deny that chronic stress has long been linked with a myriad of undesirable health consequences. More specifically, it has been found to wreak havoc on immune system health. This is why experts recommend resorting to some measures that could be helpful in stress management.

Aside from laughter, there are also other all-natural remedies like the use of a medicinal herb called ashwagandha. This therapeutic agent has long been researched due to its strong medicinal potentials.

In various research studies, it has been found to have adaptogenic, antidepressant, anxiolytic, antimicrobial, hypocholesterolemic, cardioprotective, antioxidant, neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, and anti-angiogenic agents, as well as tannins, potassium, nitrate, fatty acids, and glucose.

This adaptogenic is widely popularized by its strong stress-fighting benefits. It is widely obtained through the use of extra-strength formulas like NutraHerbals Ashwagandha (http://amazon.com/organic-ashwagandha-root-powder/dp/B01GZALWGO).
