Island Diesel opens its doors to better serve community

(Newswire.net — May 25, 2016) Nanaimo, BC —Island Diesel Injection, home to Vancouver Island’s first powerstroke injector testing bench, recently opened its doors week.

In housing the bench, which tests powerstroke injectors in Ford and Navistar trucks, Island Diesel—a division of NW Fuel Injection Services in Surrey, B.C.— is responding to a long-standing need on the island.

“It feels good to have the doors open and a have a functioning business now,” said Gord Reid, president of NW Fuel Injection. “We’re very excited to bring Injector Testing to the island. A lot of people drive these trucks here so there’s definitely been a high demand for this unit. We’re very pleased to provide this service to the community.”

Located in Nanaimo, Island Diesel specializes in the delivery of diesel fuel from tank to engine, bringing comprehensive diesel injector testing to its customers, including Bosch Authorized Common Rail. 

It holds a large inventory of parts for both individuals and repair shops, while providing logistical assistance for sourcing parts from the mainland.

“We’re here to take better care of our existing clients,” said Reid, who spent opening week on the road, letting customers know about the new shop. “It’s been well-received by the community and customers so far.

“We’re definitely responding to a need for this community, and bringing the inventory to them.”

The new division provides precision injector testing, common rail injector testing, heui injector testing, mechanical injector testing, and a large catalogue of parts to service the diesel repair community. 

And with almost 50 years working in the industry, Island Diesel staff possesses expertise in diagnostics, testing, and calibration, going far beyond just stocking new and rebuilt pumps and injectors. 

“It’s great to provide diesel repair services to the community,” said Reid.
