Sawyer is a husky pup who ended up in the Los Angeles river after running away from fireworks. He was rescued by a team led by Eldad Hagar and Hope For Paws, an animal help organization.
The new report explains that even though Eldad approached the dog in an expert, nonthreatening manner, the pup was so frightened that he kept running through the dense vegetation while injured.
Once two men volunteered to block the dog’s way, the rescuers were able to secure him and return him to his owner. Since Sawyer’s paw pad was completely peeled off, the rescue team took him to C.A.R.E.S. for expert medical attention.
The dog had no broken bones or other major injuries. He returned to the clinic a week later for a bandage change and a neuter surgery.
With the latest announcement, Pup Insider continues to expand its range of high-quality resources for dog owners and pet lovers throughout the world.
The website was founded by Chloe Roper, a dog enthusiast with extensive experience working with dogs and casts.
“As a little girl living in the country side without many neighbors, my dog Sostee became my best friend,” said Chloe. “We shared an immense bond and I fell in love with these loving, beautiful and wonderful creatures. I knew from a tender age that I wanted to work with animals. I worked at the Humane Society of Northwest Indiana for a few years, and have experience with a variety of dogs and cats. When I’m not working as semi-retired Assistant Administrator in a Home Health Care Agency in Merrillville Indiana, I am a grandma frolicking with my active grandchildren and my sweet dog, Kresi.”
