(Newswire.net — November 1, 2021) Orlando, FL — Studies have been looking into the various aspects of conditions like dementia. Some researchers suggest that certain activities may aid in battling this condition.

One study was published in the American Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease & Other Dementias.

It was carried out by the researchers from the Department of Dance and Department of Psychological Medicine.

In this research, it has been found that exposure to music and dance seemed to achieve an enhanced quality of life among older adults.

The investigators utilized familiar, reminiscent music and natural gestures involving a group of 22 participants to come up with an original series of dance exercises.

According to the lead author Ting Choo, Dance Studies Master’s graduate, they aim at promoting a better quality of life for individuals with dementia. This is done by providing social interaction, mood moderation, and memory stimulation.

The study findings reveal the subjects had responded greatly to the music. They also exhibited enthusiasm in moving to the music despite their physical limitations.

More particularly, there were positive responses involving spontaneous dancing, memory recalling, and joking with each other in every session.

The researchers believe that the use of arts like music or painting has long been undervalued in the clinical field. Due to the findings of this research, the investigators recommend further exploration of the link between creativity and dementia.

There are many aspects of dementia that many scientists are trying to find out. It is worth mentioning that certain natural remedies are being investigated due to their remarkable protective benefits for the brain.

One of these remedies is berberine, which is an alkaloid that is widely investigated by researchers. According to some experiments, berberine has shown potentials in promoting cognitive function.

It has even been found to help in protecting neurons due to its ability to inhibit a certain enzyme that produces the toxic beta-amyloid. It is worth realizing the beta-amyloid plaque is considered to be one of the hallmarks of Alzheimer’s disease.

Some studies even suggest it could work wonders in reducing brain inflammation, which previous research has also linked with dementia.

In terms of Parkinson’s disease, berberine treatment has been able to slow the death of brain cells when used following the start of the damage.

More studies are still being carried out to learn about the dementia-fighting effects of this natural remedy. Individuals who want to experience the healing goodness of this natural remedy may resort to the use of formulas like Divine Bounty Berberine (amazon.com/Berberine-Supplement-600mg-Per-Capsule/dp/B06XPCSTYM).
