(Newswire.net — May 15, 2013) Washington, DC — One Umbrella Foundation, Inc. launches new charitable campaign. OneUmbrella Foundation, Inc’s campaign to feed the homeless, ‘Feed The Nation’s Capital’, launches in Washington, DC and surrounding counties on Saturday, May 18th, 2013.
OneUmbrella Foundation, Inc. operates with one vision: to aid and empower those in need regardless of geographical location, nationality, or race. OneUmbrella focuses on organizing and executing philanthropic events and campaigns on a global, national and regional scale – including engaging in partnerships with other charitable organizations – in an effort to unite cultures and provide assistance to those in need.
As the most recent campaign, “Feed The Nation’s Capital” (brainchild of OneUmbrella Foundation founders Jimmy Malik and Rubens Cabral), will be launching on May 18th, 2013. The charitable activities will occur during the middle of the month, and continue each month going forward.
According to Malik, “It is a very unique way of giving back to the community, as we will be not setting up tables or going in large groups to feed the homeless in D.C.” Rather, small groups of no more than ten volunteers will pack hundreds of lunches at home and hit the streets of D.C. Distribution will occur at every park, street light, street corner, gas station, train station, etc. According to Cabral, “OneUmbrella volunteers will attempt to cover just about every inch of the city they can find someone to feed.”
OneUmbrella Foundation, Inc. operates behind a strong voice and leadership team of Malik and Cabral, accompanied by Tara Ashley Compton and Khatera Salam as Directors of the Board, have begun making their presence known and sought out on the East Coast, with the goal of becoming a national and global resource for charitable organizations.
