(Newswire.net — September 26, 2022) Ste 177 Winnetka, IL, IL — Scientists have been looking into the techniques potentially helpful to women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). It is worth noting that while this condition is common, it is also preventable.

Research now warns against link in between PCOS and the increased risk of Covid-19. The researchers have particularly warned that women with PCOS are a substantially heightened risk of contracting Covid-10 them women without the health issue.

This new study was spearheaded by the University of Birmingham researchers, who consequently called for healthcare policy that particularly encourage women with PCOS to stick with Covid-19 infection control measures while the pandemic is still existing.

This common condition affects around one in 10 women in the UK. It may not just lead in irregular periods, but also increased levels of “male” hormones that may produce physical signs such as excess facial or body hair.

Experts further warn it may even lead in a cystic appearance of the ovaries on an ultrasound or MRI scan. Such an appearance is caused by follicles becoming increasingly filled with fluid as they fail to develop and release an egg as they normally do to be ready for fertilisation within a women’s menstrual cycle.

Further, women with PCOS have a heightened odds of cardiometabolic disease like hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, all of which have been identified as risk factors for COVID-19.

The findings have particularly shown that the risk of contracting Covid-19 in women with PCOS increased by 51percent, compared to those of the same age and background of those without PCOS.

There was also a 26 percent increased odds of Covid-19 infection in the PCOS cohort persisted — even after the researchers made certain adjustment for individual cardio-metabolic risk factors known to cluster within PCOS.

It is worth mentioning that these factors have recently been directly associated with increased COVID-19 susceptibility, including impaired glucose regulation, obesity, and hypertension.

The findings of this research were published in the European Journal of Endocrinology.

Today, the scientific community continues to carry out studies in looking into the healing remedies potentially helpful in battling PCOS. These include the medicinal herb called ashwaandha.

“Ashwagandha” means “smell of the horse” in Sanskrit due to its scent and potential ability to increase strength. This ancient, medicinal herb called ashwagandha has long been studied on due to its medicinal values.

As an adaptogen herb, it aids in the body’s balancing of hormones and this is helpful in alleviating the stress and symptoms of PCOS. According to experts, it is also particularly helpful in women suffering from obesity-linked PCOS, and this is due to its ability to help regular cortisol levels.

Today, more and more health-conscious and budget-wise consumers turn to superior-strength supplements like NutraHerbals Ashwagandha. This highly potent and pure formula is crafted in an FDA-inspected facility in the U.S. (http://amazon.com/organic-ashwagandha-root-powder/dp/B01GZALWGO)
