When the ERTC program was first created, employers could claim up to $5,000 per employee in rebates, as an incentive for keeping staff on the payroll during the pandemic. However, combining several new changes to the program, Cottage Digital Media and ERTC Express can help employers claim up to $26,000 per employee in rebates, even if they have already received loans through the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).
Originally, employers that had enrolled in the PPP were automatically disqualified from the ERTC program. However, this changed when the Consolidated Appropriations Act was passed, which allows businesses to receive benefits from both programs. Unlike the PPP, though, rebates received through the ERTC are not a loan, never require repayment, and have no restrictions on how they can be spent.
The eligibility test is available with no cost or obligation and can be completed in approximately one minute without sharing any proprietary business information. With the latest updates, it can determine the eligibility of any small to medium-sized business, including startups, non-profit organizations, and new businesses founded during the pandemic.
Eligible employers can then either complete and submit the required paperwork themselves or use the CPA firm’s 15 Minute Refund program. This program guarantees every employer their maximum allowable rebate and audit-proof documentation, with a time commitment of 15 minutes or less.
The 15 Minute Refund program is available to all employers with between 5 and 500 W-2 employees in California, Oregon and Washington. The program includes a no-risk, no upfront fees policy, so any business that does not qualify or does not receive a rebate will not be charged.
Recent satisfied clients of the 15 Minute Refund program include a Houston-based restaurant with 80 W-2 employees, which was able to claim $400,000 in tax credits, and a Restaurant Ownership Group in Florida with 224 W-2 employees, that claimed $1,120,000 in tax credits.
