(Newswire.net — August 24, 2021) Orlando, FL — The menopausal stage has long been linked with certain symptoms and the increased risk of certain medical issues. Problems like UTIs are what many women undergoing menopause struggle from.

A UT Southwestern study reveals the reason why there is a high prevalence of UTIs in postmenopausal women. According to experts, this is due to the fact that several species of bacteria are able to invade the bladder walls.

According to the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, there is an estimated number of 6,000 women in the U.S. who reach menopause every year. This actually is equivalent to more than 2 million yearly.

It is further worth mentioning that in 2018, it was projected almost 31 million women of their menopausal age were employed. Of the average 27 million women in between the 45 and 64 age bracket, 20 percent experience menopause every year.

This means that 20 percent of the workforce suffers from symptoms like sweating, headaches, loss of energy, and others.

The findings of the study were published in the Journal of Molecular Biology.

According to Dr. Kim Orth, recurrent UTI (RUTI) reduces the quality of life, places a significant burden on the health care system, and contributes to antimicrobial resistance.

Orth is a Professor of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at UTSW and senior author of the study.

The study findings demonstrate that certain species of bacteria can travel to the surface area of the bladder called urothelium in RUTI patients.

More studies are still being encouraged to learn about the recurrence and treatments of UTIs in menopause. Today, there are many researchers who carry out studies to explore the various aspects of menopause, and these include the potential remedies that could help reduce the severity of menopause symptoms.

According to various studies, some nutrients like B vitamins may be helpful. Vitamin B6 in particular has been found to aid in warding off menopausal depression and even increasing energy levels due to its ability to enhance serotonin levels.

There are many benefits associated with B vitamins in cases of menopause. These nutrients may work wonders in helping fight insomnia, and reduce hot flashes.

Niacin, B12, thiamine, and folic acid, in particular, may significantly aid in reducing levels of menopausal stress. B3 and folic acid are useful in the production of estrogen, which is vital in cases of menopause.

These nutrients can be obtained from consuming certain foods but there are also supplements available. One is Purest Vantage Vitamin B Complex, which is known for its high potency and purity.

It contains Choline, Pantothenic acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Niacin, Riboflavin, Thiamin, and vitamin B6 (https://www.amazon.com/Vitamin-B-Complex-90-Capsules/dp/B0773N3MFK ).
