(Newswire.net — August 11, 2022) Orlando, FL — Various studies have warned that air pollution produces a myriad of negative health outcomes. It is worth noting that some studies have linked it with certain diseases.
A study has shown a link between long-term air pollution exposure and fatty liver disease. It is worth keeping in mind that metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is a growing global health challenge. Further, it poses a substantial economic burden.
This large-scale epidemiological study carried out in China may be viewed in the Journal of Hepatology, the official journal of the European Association for the Study of the Liver.
It is also worth mentioning that such links are exacerbated by unhealthy lifestyles and central obesity.
Since the 1980s, the incidence of MAFLD has steadily skyrocketed. It currently affects a quarter of the worldwide population and most of the patients with adult-onset diabetes.
Further in Asia, MAFLD prevalence increased to 40 percent in between 2012 and 2017. It was previously called nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and is notoriously known to progress to end-stage liver diseases such as cirrhosis and liver cancer, liver transplantation, and liver-related death.
Accumulating animal studies have revealed that breathing air pollutants may actually increase the risk of MAFLD. It is important to mention that fine particulate matter exposure may not just trigger nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH)-like phenotype, but impair hepatic glucose metabolism and promote hepatic fibrogenesis.
“The MAFLD epidemic corresponds to environmental and lifestyle changes that have occurred alongside rapid industrialization worldwide, especially in many Asian countries,” explained lead investigator Xing Zhao, Ph.D.
Zhao is West China School of Public Health and West China Fourth Hospital, Sichuan University, Chengdu, Sichuan, China.
“A growing number of studies have suggested that ambient air pollution, which is the biggest environmental problem caused by industrialization, may increase the risk of metabolic disorders such as insulin resistance and dyslipidemia, and related diseases such as type 2 diabetes mellitus and metabolic syndrome.”
There are many harmful effects of air pollution and this is why researchers continue to carry out studies to look into it. There have even been studies showing that toxins, which can be found pretty much everywhere, can wreak havoc on health.
It is important to lessen the body’s toxic burden to ward off certain diseases. One of the safe and effective ways to do this is to detoxify the body, and this may be made through the use of activated charcoal.
This natural remedy has a highly porous surface that serves as a magnet to toxins. It may be obtained through the use of formulas like Divine Bounty Activated Charcoal. (www.amazon.com/Organic-Activated-Charcoal-Capsules-Whitening/dp/B071NZ5G56)
