The digital downloadable program on unlocking hip flexors was created by Mike Westerdal, best-selling fitness author, sports nutrition specialist, personal trainer, and Rick Kaselj, injury specialist and kinesiologist. The program was designed for individuals who have tight hips and may not even realize it.

Tight hip flexors can cause multiple problems for otherwise healthy people, including joint pain in legs or hips, trouble sleeping, overall sluggishness, circulatory issues, and more. People are often surprised that these problems can be caused by tight hip flexors.

This tightness is related to the psoas muscle which connects the upper body to the lower body. When this muscle is functioning properly, the individual’s pelvis is in alignment, the hips are stable, and the lower spine and abdomen are supported, resulting in core strength.

Sitting at a computer, prevalent in this age of technology, is a huge danger to an individual’s health. Even people who are generally active end up with a tight psoas because they also spend too much time in a chair, emphasizing the need for the new program on unlocking hip flexors, which contains exercises that can alleviate the problem.

The program explains the Sequential Flow Method which delineates the movements and the order in which they need to be done, including three different methods of stretching, core stability exercises, mobility exercises, fascia stretching, and muscle activation.

The program consists of two DVDs. The first is an instructional video by Kaselj that explains why each exercise is performed, the best form to aspire to, and how it should feel. The second video is designed so individuals can follow along and perform the exercises without a break for clarification. A downloadable manual that gives greater details is also included.

A fitness specialist wrote, “I was excited to hear about Rick Kaselj’s Unlock Your Hip Flexors program. I implemented the concepts and program into practice with clients. I cannot recommend this program enough.”
