(Newswire.net — July 20, 2021) Orlando, FL — In the United States, statistics warn that roughly 6 million individuals have bipolar disorder. It is important to realize that among individuals with this mental health issue, the primary cause of death is suicide.

Due to the skyrocketing prevalence of this disorder, more and more experts are carrying out studies to learn more about it.

A study was published in Molecular Psychiatry, which is a part of the Nature Publishing Group.

This study was spearheaded by the researchers at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). It was funded in part by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).

The findings have shown that a volume reduction in specific parts of the hippocampus of the brain was associated with bipolar disorder. It is worth mentioning that the hippocampus has long been identified to be a hub of mood and memory processing.

According to Bo Cao, Ph.D., their study is one of the first to locate possible damage of bipolar disorder in specific subfields within the hippocampus.

Bo Cao is the first and corresponding author and a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth.

The National Institutes of Health describes this disorder to be one that affects energy levels, sleep, and ability to think clearly. There are even those who are unable to work and perform daily activities and are more susceptible to suicidal thoughts.

The increasing prevalence of this mental health issue continues to prompt many researchers to investigate it and find its cure. The good news is that according to some research studies, there are natural remedies that may be potentially helpful in warding it off.

Interestingly, some nutrients like B vitamins have been found to aid in mood regulation. It is worth mentioning that a deficiency in certain types of B vitamins has been found with associated the increased odds of anxiety and depression, which are known hallmarks of bipolar disorder.

According to some experts, vitamin B1 may be particularly helpful for bipolar patients with circulation problems and those suffering from tingling in the extremities, anxiety, irritability, night terrors, and similar symptoms.

Another B vitamin called pyridoxine may be useful for bipolar patients suffering from a great deal of irritability.  Vitamin B12 has also been found to help those who suffer from fatigue as it enhances energy levels.

In experiencing the benefits of these nutrients, it may help to consider the use of Purest Vantage Vitamin B Complex.

It contains Choline, Pantothenic acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Niacin, Riboflavin, Thiamin, and vitamin B6 (https://www.amazon.com/Vitamin-B-Complex-90-Capsules/dp/B0773N3MFK ).
