(Newswire.net — March 18, 2022) Orlando, FL — Estimates warn that by 2050, 131.5 million individuals with suffering from dementia. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia, which affects 1 person every 3 seconds worldwide.

Every year, there are more than 9.9 million new cases of dementia on a global scale. Scientists have been investigating this condition, and how it can be treated.

A study was carried out by Susanne Wegmann of the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) in Berlin and colleagues.

In this research, which was published in the Science Advances journal, it has been found that some molecules involved in the disease spread more easily in the aging brain. It is worth noting that these molecules are called tau-proteins.

Scientists have long warned that Alzheimer’s disease often starts with memory decline. Later on, it begins affecting other cognitive abilities. There are two different kinds of protein deposits in the brain of a patient.

These are the “amyloid-beta plaques” and “tau neurofibrillary tangles,” which are involved in the disease.  It is important to note that the emergence of tau neurofibrillary tangles is known to reflect disease progression.

The scientists tried to figure out what the role of tau propagation is in aging. They hypothesized that when protein spreads more easily in older brains, this could explain why older people have a higher susceptibility to Alzheimer’s disease.

This is one of the interesting studies researchers carried out to look into certain aspects of Alzheimer’s disease. Aside from investigating the potential culprits of its development, some researchers also study certain brain health remedies.

It has long been recommended that feeding the brain with nutrients is one of the best ways to protect and enhance its health. There are nutrients so vital that their inadequate levels inside the body have been found to increase the odds of dementia.

A study was published in the Neurology journal.

In this research, it has been found having high or low magnesium levels increased the odds of dementia. It is vital to maintain adequate magnesium levels to ward off a range of diseases, especially Alzheimer’s.

Aside from fighting dementia, magnesium has further been found to produce other healing effects on brain health.

Scientists continue to carry out research studies about magnesium and the extent of its healing benefits.

A spray called Purest Vantage Magnesium Oil may be an excellent source of this mineral’s healing benefits.
