The newly launched Spotify Amplification Worldwide Campaign aims to help recording artists and musicians connect with the estimated 286 million monthly Spotify users. This accounts for nearly 36% of the global streaming market.
Given that nearly a third of a user’s time on Spotify is spent listening to Spotify-generated playlists, the newly available Spotify Amplification Worldwide Campaign intends to make it easier and more affordable for artists to get listed on playlists. This works by targeting playlist owners and fans across the world to help an artist grow his or her streaming numbers.
As of April 2020, playlist statistics show how influential they can be for an artist’s career, with popular ones like “Today’s Top Hits” having 26 million followers, and “Rap Caviar” having 12.8 million followers. The new service Spotify Amplification Worldwide recognizes that influence as well as the millions spent developing those playlists, and aims to get their customers’ music heard by the right curators to take advantage of the playlist phenomenon.
The new service, which is available now, works with playlists that are checked and verified. By using various platforms to authenticate and verify the data, Spotify Amplification Worldwide Campaign aims to give its artists the best results by delivering their music to a highly-rated audience.
The Spotify Amplification Worldwide Campaign follows a three-step process for artists. Music is first submitted to the Music Gateway for review. Within 24-72 hours, a team member will be in touch to continue setting up the campaign. Then promotion starts, and an artist’s music is placed in front of the proper curators.
Paul from 1812 Music shared his experience using the Music Gateway service. “I like the proactive route MG takes, daily opportunities, and the way I can pitch specific music instead of just uploading my library.”
