(Newswire.net — October 23, 2015) — Indianapolis, IN Never Be Bored, the web center for nonstop exciting ideas and entertaining event information, will spotlight Scott Tucker’s upcoming event “Snacks and Stars,” a cookout and star gazing event. Tucker will hold the event on the afternoon and evening of this year’s winter solstice.
“There are some amateur star gazing groups out there, but Tucker is doing something personal for his community,” says Never Be Bored writer James Nathan. “He spends a lot of time star gazing and visiting regional observatories and campus telescopes of various universities. This event will be for his neighborhood, and the educational element is really going to be matched with a fair amount of BBQ food and snacks for the people who will be skipping dinner for the event.”
The event will be held at Tucker’s personal farm outside of Indianapolis, IN where he can safely host up to 100 guests on his property. There will be free snacks and cookout style food for a limited time before the star gazing beings and all lights will be dimmed or shut off on the property. The cookout portion of the event will begin at 4pm with star gazing education beginning at 6pm and telescopes coming at at dusk.
“Star gazing is my passion, it’s the only thing I really do with my free time at nights anymore,” says Tucker. “This event is just a way I thought I could share my telescope with the area and maybe bring them in a really fun hobby that doesn’t cost anything practically. There are a lot of places nearby where you can visit and do some star gazing but usually the university type places charge a fee so my event is free.”
Never Be Bored recently covered Tucker in an article in their “Night Time Hobbies” series. More information on Tucker’s family friendly star gazing cookout event will be posted as Tucker finalizes details.
