(Newswire.net — June 1, 2022) Orlando, FL — Food has long been studied due to its relevance for human survival as well as its importance in overall health.

A study was carried out and published in Nature Medicine, which is a monthly peer-reviewed medical journal.

This large-scale international study was carried out by the researchers at King’s College London, Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the University of Trento, Italy, and health start-up company ZOE.

It used metagenomics and blood chemical profiling to uncover a panel of 15 gut microbes linked with reduced risks of common diseases like type 2 diabetes and obesity.

The findings of this research have shown that diets loaded with healthy and plant-based foods promote the presence of gut microbes, which are linked with a reduced risk of common medical conditions like heart disease.

This analysis called PREDICT 1 (Personalized Responses to Dietary Composition Trial 1) looked into detailed data on the composition of gut microbiomes, their dietary habits, and cardiometabolic blood biomarkers of the participants.

It was able to highlight the strong associations between diet, the microbes in their gut (microbiome), and their health.

According to researchers, there are microbes that negatively or positively correlate good and bad with one’s odds of certain chronic ailments. These include medical conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and obesity.

It also comes as a surprise that the microbiome actually has a greater link to these markers compared to other factors, such as genetics. It is worth noting that researchers define a healthy diet to be one consisting of foods linked with the lessened odds of chronic disease.

Maintaining gut health has long been one of the established tricks in staying healthy. In various research studies, it has been found that the health of the digestive system could be extremely influential on the body’s defenses.

This means that when it is unhealthy, it could also produce negative impacts on immunity. This is exactly why protecting the gut is vital for a strong immune system.

Intake of probiotics and prebiotics is vital for digestive health. There are also digestive enzymes like bromelain, which can be found in pineapples, which are being studied due to their gut health benefits.

It may be helpful to consider the use of formulas like Divine Bounty Digestive Enzymes.

Divine Bounty Digestive Enzymes contain 500 mg of digestive enzymes, namely lipase, amylase, invertase, Glucoamylase, papain, and bromelain. It even has prebiotics and probiotics.
