(Newswire.net — July 11, 2019) Orlando, FL — One of the most undeniable truths nowadays is that chronic diseases like diabetes are highly prevalent. Experts have long been warning against the risk factors of this condition as it is not just prevalent, but also incurable.
In a new study, it has been found that numerous lifestyle factors influence the risk of diabetes among older adults.
Researchers in the United States looked into the link between lifestyle and incidence of diabetes over 10 years. This study involved 4,883 men and women aged 65 and older. It is worth mentioning that such lifestyle factors include dietary habits, physical activity, tobacco and alcohol use, and amount of body fat.
It has been found that each of these lifestyle factors were independently associated with incidence of diabetes. It is similarly worth mentioning that each positive score in a lifestyle factor was linked with a reduced risk of diabetes by 35 percent among those with a low-risk lifestyle.
The study is published in the April 27 issue of the Archives of Internal Medicine.
The researchers from Harvard Medical School and the Cardiovascular Health Study reveal that these findings provide an estimate of the public health burden of combined non-optimal lifestyle risk factors for incidence of diabetes in older adults, the fastest-growing segment of the U.S. population.
As the prevalence of diabetes continues to skyrocket, more and more experts are stressing the importance of taking the helpful measures in fighting the condition. It has long been known that following an unhealthy diet can trigger diabetes onset.
However, it is also worth realizing that there are other contributing factors like toxins found to increase its risk.
In a 2010 study by the Environmental Health Perspectives, it has been found that exposure to organic pollutants can result not just insulin resistance, but also metabolic dysfunction.
A National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 1999-2002 also found a significant correlation between blood levels of six common persistent organic pollutants and diabetes.
They particularly reveal that those who had the highest serum levels of pollutants had a dramatically higher risk for the condition.
It may be helpful to detoxify the body from these diabetes-triggering toxins, and one way to do it is to resort to the use of activated charcoal. This natural remedy works wonders in adsorbing toxins and eliminating them from the system.
In addition to its remarkable detoxifying benefits, activated charcoal may also aid in delivering various medicinal purposes. Today, its use is widely recommended via supplementation.
One formula being widely resorted to by consumers is Divine Bounty Activated Charcoal (https://amazon.com/Organic-Activated-Charcoal-Capsules-Whitening/dp/B071NZ5G56).
