A balloon in the form of the mayor of London Sadik Khan flew over UK’s capitol sparking heated debate on social networks.
Mayor Khan balloon in Yanny's workshop Author Yanny Brure, has raised more than $78,000 via Crowdfunding to make a 29 foot balloon.

(Newswire.net -- September 2, 2018) -- A balloon in the form of the mayor of London Sadik Khan in a bikini flew over the streets of London as a message that the city is drowning in crime and corruption while the mayor sunbathes doing nothing.

Activist and organizer of this silent but effective demonstration, Yanny Bruere, has raised more than $78,000 through a Crowdfunding website to make a 29 foot balloon, as part of a campaign to replace Khan.

The mayor of London has angered some people in the capital of the United Kingdom and elsewhere when he allowed a balloon to be released over the city last month showing US President Donald Trump as an angry baby during his visit to England in July. The inflatable London mayor is larger than the Trump balloon.

As the reason for the Mayor's removal campaign, the author if the balloon cited the rise in crime in UK's capital. Bruere also points out that London’s mayor is allegedly forbidding freedom of speech, however, a city spokeswoman said the balloon was allowed to rise on Saturday over Parliament Square.

A balloon shaped like a mayor in a bikini refers to a beach-ready advertisement that Khan banned in 2016.

A “free-speech activist” Yanny Bruere crowdfunded the baloon as part of an ongoing bid to remove the mayor from office over his inability to get to grips with gang and knife crime in the city.

“Under Sadiq Khan, we have seen crime skyrocket to unprecedented levels. People in London don’t feel safe and they aren’t safe,” Bruere posted on Twitter.

The Metropolitan Police warns on criminal uprise in London amid a Syrian refugee crisis. Assistant Commissioner Martin Hewitt told the UK’s Independent that London Knife Crime increased significantly.

“[Police are] increasingly seeing group offending as well. By that I don’t mean there’s a group and one person is stabbing, I mean there’s a group of people who are all using weapons,” Hewitt told The Independent.
